The Carlisle Equestrian Center welcomes equestrian riders with their horse carts/carriages on restricted dates.
These are for individual riders only.
Registration is not required and this program is open to the public.
Horse carts/carriages are only permitted on the North and South Loop trails at
the Carlisle Equestrian Center, located at 13630 Diagonal Rd., LaGrange 44050

Erie County OHC Poker Run & Campout
Saturday, September 12, 2026
Erie County OHC Poker Run & Campout at Edison Woods Metroparks.
8111 Smokey Road Edison Woods, Berlin Hts.
This is their fundraiser.
Fee to participate includes poker hand, lunch and prizes.
Registration starts at 9 a.m. Lunch at noon.
All riders must be in by 2 p.m.
Camping available on Friday after 2 p.m. and Saturday.
Per Erie Metroparks: if you are not an Erie County OHC member, there is a $5 per person per night fee to camp.
Tie lines, water for horses, and port-a-potties on site.

Big Elk Lick Horse Camp located in the Allegheny Mountains.
Riding done at the Elk Creek State Forest.
Miles of trails, primarily logging, gas and mining roads. Wild elk in the area.
Primitive or electric sites, shower house, communal kitchen.
Cost $35/night, stalls available, call early to reserve.
Horses need shoes to ride these trails.
For reservations contact Big Elk Lick Horse Camp at 814-787-4656,
the camp address is 91 Elk Lick Lane Benezette, PA. 15821.
Directions: take I-80 east to ST 255 to ST 555.
Approx. driving time is 4 hours.
As a courtesy to the camp host, please give ample notice when canceling reservations.
Note: A 30 day health certificate and valid Coggins Test required.

Directions to Wetmore Road Trailhead:
Take Rte. 303 to the city of Peninsula.
At the traffic light (Akron-Peninsula Road) go South.
Go past Quick Road, the next road is Wetmore Road, can only turn left.
Trailhead parking is located here.
